What’s In Your Stash:
Ariel ZIMMAN, @STonedwareco
A series dedicated to showcasing how a diverse group of people incorporate cannabis in a variety of ways into their lives.
Here at theCURATOR, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting many people who have varying relationships with cannabis and hemp. And though everyone has their own personal story, they all seem to be incorporating cannabis into their lives some way or another. In this series, we’ve asked a range of people (from parents and office workers to creatives and entrepreneurs) to give us a look inside their Stash Bags (and boxes) and show us how they interact with the plant. Because not everyone who uses cannabis is doing so to get high…
We chat with Ariel Zimman, the artist behind the beautiful ceramic GeoPipes by Stonedware and took a snoop through her stash! Read on to see what she has to say about the future of cannabis, her favourite edibles and more.
Here’s a look inside her stash:

Location: portland, or
Your 9-5: ceramicist / business owner / pipe saleswoman
theCURATOR: Who introduced you to cannabis?
Ariel Zimman: A high school friend - a group of us all smoked together for the first time.
What was your first experience with cannabis like?
We planned a sleepover at a friends house and after dark went to the golf course behind her house and lit up under a large draping tree.
How has your relationship to cannabis evolved since your first introduction to the plant?
Many times over, from becoming a more regular user in college, to times of wake and bake all day use, to exploration with edibles, tinctures and smoking methods. Currently I consume about 2-3 times a week, unless I’m on vacation!
Favourite product or accessory in your stash and why?
My Large GeoPipe, not only did I make it, but it smokes so nice! A large chamber allows for large, smooth hits, while also fitting perfectly in my hand and looking great on my coffee table.
Where do you keep you stash bag/products:
Either on the coffee table, or in it’s drawer
Legalisation or Decriminalisation?
What do you think is the future for cannabis, globally; what are your concerns?
I think the market is still new and has a lot of things to figure out, it will be interesting to see how is grows. I’m sure it will be most affected by large businesses looking to take over the market, while potentially lowering the quality standards.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone looking to introduce cannabis to their life:
Try different things, strains, ways to consume, and be open to taking time to see how your body/mind responds to each method.
CBD, THC or both?
Joints, pipes, bongs or something else:
What's your tincture routine?
If I’m feeling anxious, or over stressed I’ll take a dropper of CBD oil.
Why do you choose cannabis infused foods instead of smoking it?
Sometimes it’s more convenient (like on an air plane), other times I just enjoy the different type of high achieved by edibles vs. smoking.
Your ultimate go-to munchies?
