Tried and Tasted: A Golden Latte With A Golden Ingredient

With CBD industry booming, it's shedding more light on the wellness industry as a whole. And you can't really talk about holistic and natural wellness without paying homage to Ayurveda, an ancient traditional Hindu system of medicine whose main premise is about balance within the differently systems in the body, using diet, herbal remedies and yogic breathing. 

What you might not know is that a variety of Western wellness trends stem from the Ayurvedic way of life. One major trend is the use of turmeric. Turmeric, also known as the spice of life due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help combat cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and more. Its taste is unique and easily uplift any curry recipe. However, another way to incorporate turmeric into your wellness routine is by drinking it. 

But what happens when you combine turmeric, agave, ginger, a milk of your choice and a dash of CBD in a mug? You get an elixir fit to combat colds, flus and more, all while boosting energy levels. 

Here's how you can make your own Golden Latte:



1.  Place ingredients in a small pot over medium heat.

2. Ensure milk does not boil and keep stirring until hot and combined.

3. Pour into mugs and dust with cinnamon powder.


3cm fresh turmeric, peeled (or 3/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder

2cm fresh ginger, peeled (or 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger)

1 tsp agave, honey or natural sweetener of your choice

1 1/2 cup of milk of your choice (great options include: skim milk, rice milk, coconut milk, almond milk, oat milk)

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Optional 1 tsp vanilla essence or extract

Pinch of salt
